Quartiana is the new project of these four exceptional musicians, who began to play together 25 years ago. With a repertoire of original compositions, the unique sound of this band is the result of combining traditional rhythms, sounds and instruments with the expressive and improvisational freedom of jazz.

Quartiana is the union of four artistic personalities with a solid career in their respective fields. Serra as a jazzman, Aguilar and Tobias in traditional and world music, and Lozano as an "expert in the diversity" of aerophones and musics from all over the world.

Aleix Tobias is one of the most renowned percussionists in the traditional music of Spain and other traditions around the world. His creativity and versatility, however, have made many artists of other styles also count on him. The list is endless: Marco Mezquida, Judit Neddermann, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Eliseo Parra, Raúl Rodríguez, Maria del Mar Bonet, Misirli Ahmet, La Fura dels Baus, Electric Dharma, Aziza Ibrahim, Jackson Browne ...He is the founder of the Coetus Iberian percussion orchestra, with which he has recorded and produced three albums. He has played in more than 70 albums as a sideman.
Guillem Aguilar -A musician in constant research, he explored the possibilities of electric bass beyond his traditional role, becoming an unmistakable bassist that has led him to work with artists such as Misirli Ahmet, Erkan Ogur, Trilok Gurtu, La Shica, Chambao, Jackson Browne or Jorge Drexler.He is currently working on an international level with Aziza Brahim, Coetus, Raúl Rodríguez, Eliseo Parra, Bufa & Sons, and Anna Ferrer, among other projects, as a bassist and music producer.
Xavi Lozano - Known for his role as a builder and interpreter of instruments made from recycled materials -which has led him to perform from America to China-, Xavi Lozano is one of the people who has the most knowledge of flutes and aerophones from around the world. His virtuosity, expressiveness and his unique sounds have led him to work with a variety of musicians and projects: Lluís Llach, Mª del Mar Bonet, Lídia Pujol, Miquel Gil, Eliseo Parra, Jorge Drexler, CEDharma, Gerard Quintana among many others.He is currently leading his own band, Bufa & Sons, as well as performing solo shows and workshops.
Martí Serra - Jazz saxophonist, Serra has recorded three albums as a leader, and two more co-leaded with the pianist Sergi Sirvent. He is a member of the generation of Catalan jazzmen trained at Berklee College of Music in Boston, such as Llibert Fortuny, Raynald Colom, Guim Garcia and Ivó Oller.He has worked with Giulia Valle, Jorge Rossy, Guillermo McGill, M.A. Chastang, Al Foster, Eddie Henderson, Xavi Maureta, Ramon Escalé, and a long list, in festivals around the world. His trio recieved an Enderrock prize in 2009, in 2016 he published the album "Cançons mecanoscrites", as a songwriter. He has recorded 30 albums as a sideman.
